SC: Episode 136

Show notes:

When you aren’t sure exactly which direction the Lord is calling you in life, how should you respond? What should we do when we don’t have a “long term” vision? This week on the podcast, we’ve got the next installment of our continuing interview series, the Tentmakers! This week, we’ll be interviewing Brent Thomas, who is a project manager and “solutions architect” in his new position with a software development company–a job he got after several months of following the Lord’s leading through some big changes in his life. We’ll chat about some of those changes, following God’s leading in “the next step”, being a witness in the workplace, and more; this is definitely an interview you won’t want to miss! We’ve also got a very special misisonFocus opportunity with InTheGap in Oklahoma City! All that and more, on this jam-packed episode of the Sharpening Character Podcast!

missionFocus Segment: In The Gap

For more information about In The Gap, be sure to check out SC: Episode 073 for an interview with Mr. Chad Christianson, the director of this awesome ministry!

In The Gap is looking for dedicated Christian young adults who have a heart to know God, and desire to minister to others. Right now in Oklahoma City, 35 schools would like for them to come teach Character Education to their students. This means they have the ability to share truth with over 14,981 students.

The doors are also open for their team to host after school Bible Clubs in school cafeterias & gyms.

They need at least 40 Leaders In Training to come to Oklahoma City and meet this tremendous need.

They are not looking for existing public speaking abilities, people skills, or teaching proficiency. Rather, they are looking for willing hearts, dedicated hands, and passionate minds to minister to the youth of this next generation.

If you want to make a difference in the lives of over 715 children on a weekly basis, live in community with like-minded young people, and see God change the world, please come to Oklahoma City. If you are unable to come and serve in Oklahoma City, please share this opportunity with your friends and pray that God would send laborers while the harvest is ripe!

Here are the details!!!

Thanks for considering the opportunity—-and don’t forget to tell your siblings and friends about it too! 🙂
